Persephone and Hades. While I was planning this drawing, I did a little reading on Persephone. I found out she was sometimes depicted with the "Archaic smile". According to Wikipedia, "it is a smile which, to some modern interpreters, suggests a feeling of happiness via ignorance." So I tried to make her look a bit stupid. XD

I made it to go along with my Salome piece, but in the end, they aren't so similar. Oh well.

This depiction of Persephone is absolutely gorgeous, I particularly love the almost trance like look on her face and Hades ready hand on her shoulder with his face in shadows behind her is fantastic. It looks almost like a vampire picture in its composition, you've done a brilliant job.

I have to say I've only just discovered your work but I'm loving what I've seen so far, you're a very talented artist, well done.
